Performing Arts
East Claremont has a strong performing arts tradition and students are recognised in the community as performing at the highest level. 
The subject is taught to children from Pre-Primary to Year 7 by a specialist teacher, assisted by class teachers. The recorder program is introduced to all children in Year 4 and teaches children to read music.
Choir
The School's choir consists of children from Years 5-7 and performs at ANZAC Day Services, the Remembrance Day Ceremony, School Assemblies and at Graduation Night, various public performances and also performs Christmas Carols at the local shopping centre.
Instrumental Music
An instrumental music program caters for small group lessons in violin and cello for musically talented students from Years 3-7.
