Health
School Nurse
The Health Department allocates nurses to schools. Our nurse makes regular visits to the school and tests children for eyesight and hearing difficulties, scoliosis, vaccination updates and any health problems referred to her by the school psychologist. The school nurse does not deal with sick children and school policy is to inform parents as soon as children are found to be unable to continue school. Parents are asked to make sure children who are unwell are not sent to school as it makes the learning experience extremely difficult for student and teacher.
School Dental Service
The School Dental Service provides free general and preventative dental care for all enrolled students up to Year 11.
Students at this school attend the Swanbourne Dental Therapy Centre, located in the grounds of Swanbourne Primary School, Narla Road, Swanbourne 6010.
Parents are responsible for transporting their children to the centre which operates from 9.15am to 4.30pm Monday - Friday and during most school holidays.
